Back in the winter months, Maddy and I chatted back and forth about doing a cozy home session with her and her beautiful family. Once we had the clear from COVID restrictions, we quickly picked a day and started planning! We went with a documentary style session, where I was essentially a fly on the wall; watching the kids running around and play, and mom & dad snuggle up with a cup of coffee.
Truly, I wish that I encouraged this type of style on more sessions. It’s something so special to be able to watch families just be, without the posing and making sure the babes are on their best behavior. This right here is life, and when they look back at these photos they will see Carter and Ari just as they are. They will look back and see how they took in all the chaos, and just ran with it. It’s really something to be able to spend a couple hours getting to know a family on a personal level. These are the kinds of sessions that I just swoon over.
